W. Bro. Gerhard Maschewski

Passed March 19,2015
On the morning of our Lodge night, Thursday March 19, Gerhard, a Past Master of Dufferin Lodge no. 291 and affiliate member of Westmount Lodge No. 671 passed to the G.L.A.

Initiated May 21, 1981, Passed June 18, 1981, and Raised to the third degree on September 17, 1981.


The family has indicated that cremation has already taken place, and that visitation will occur on Tuesday March 24, at Smith’s Funeral Home, 485 Brant Street, Burlington, from 9:30 to 10:30 with the ceremony to follow.

Gerhard was a very active member of Dufferin Lodge who faithfully travelled from Burlington to our Lodge to take part and perform his regular work of the Working Tools.

W. Bro. Namaro, a Past Master of Valley Lodge, will be missed by family and friends as well as the members of Valley.

 

Our Brother’s visitation and service details are as follows:

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 25th from 2:00 - 4:00PM and also 7:00 - 9:00PM.

A Masonic Service will take place, at the family's request at 8:30 p.m. on the 25th. 

 

A Funeral Service will take place, in the funeral home chapel, on Thursday February 26th at 11:00AM.

 

Internment to take place at a later date. Condolences will be forwarded to the family.

Peacefully surrounded by family and friends on January 29, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in his 87th year. Loving husband of Beverley for 55 years. Beloved father of Daniel. Dear brother of Katherine and Shelagh. David was a long time member of the Ionic Lodge No. 549 G.R.C. and also of St. John's Chapter No. 6. Special thank you to the staff and nurses on the 6th floor at St. Joseph's Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Tuesday, February 3rd from 12 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated.
David was active in both the craft lodge and the York Rite. He shall remain in our thoughts and hearts as a quiet gentleman always at the ready to aid a brother or the craft in general.

W. Bro. Walker, a Past Master of Valley Lodge No. 100, will be missed by family and friends as well as the Brethren of Valley.



A Masonic Service will take place on January 30th, 2015 at 2:50 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church, 137 Melville Street, Dundas ON with the Funeral Service commencing directly thereafter.



Our thoughts are with his wife Janis and his family during this time.
