Robert Banting was Initiated into Meridian Lodge No. 687 on March 20, 1957; Passed on April 17, 1957 and Raised on June 5, 1957.
Robert was a 32 degree Mason, having joined the Scottish Rite Consistory on May 6, 1958; the Rose Croix on October 29, 1958 and the Lodge of Perfection on November 12, 1966.
Our condolences to Bob's wife Dee and family.
At Bob's request, there was no publication of his passing until after internment on January 19, 2019

Passed away peacefully at Wentworth Lodge at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Gloria and loving father of four sons, David (Nancy), Daniel, Peter, and Jamie (Ravinder) and five grandchildren. Lloyd was a member of the United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada.

V.W. Bro. Lloyd Oakes was initiated into Seymour Lodge No. 272 on October 12, 1954, passed on November 30, 1954, and raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on April 26, 1955. Our brother affiliated into Meridian Lodge No. 687 and served as their Worshipful Master from June 1993 through June 1994. He was Past Grand Organist for the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario. He was a 33 degree Scottish Rite Mason and played the organ there for over 60 years.
