60 year member of Wardrope Lodge No.555 G.R.C. Called to the Grand Lodge Above December 31st 2011. In his 93rd year, Predeceased by his beloved wife Norma. Survived by his sons Tim of Windsor and Ted and his Wife Patrecia of Gravenhurst. W.W.Veteran serving with the Provost Corps. 32 degree Member of the Scottish Rite. Donations in his Memory may be made to St Lukes Anglican Church, Elgin St Burlington or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

 


Bro. Gordon Harold Brushey

Passed December 10, 2011
Bro. Gordon Harold Brushey, peacefully passed to the G.L.A., December 10,2011, in his 91st year. Predeceased in 1999 by his beloved wife of 54 years, Kay. Survived by his son, Rendall (Violet) Brushey and daughter, Elaine (Brent) Holding. Retired from the Post Office. As per Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life and a reception will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Drive, Burlington on Wednesday, December 14 from 6 – 9 P.M. Memorial donations are requested to be made to the Salvation Army.

 


V.W.Bro. Charles A. Houghton

Passed December 7,2011

Charles Ambrose Houghton, in his 90th year, peacefully, after a long illness at St. Joseph's Hospital on Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Loving husband of Jan for 64 years. Dear father of Margaret (John), Carol (George Sorbara) and Bob (Diane). Sadly missed by 5 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Charlie was a Past Master and last surviving Charter Member of Meridian Lodge #687, A.F. & A.M. GRC, Ancaster and a 33rd Degree Mason. He also served for many years as the Captain of the hamilton Harbour Commission boat The John Agro. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to take place at a later date at the Lodge Hall (Ancaster). Donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Passed October 22,2011
Past Master of Buchanan Lodge No. 550 and long time volunteer at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 5th at 2:00pm, at MacNab Street Presbyterian Church, 116 Macnab Street, Hamilton.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum or the Cancer Assistance Program (C.A.P.) would be appreciated.
